Finally, Melissa is opening its first U.S. store on February 8 at 102 Greene Street in Soho. The footwear brand, known for its plastic jelly shoes is a truly obsession and part of most girl's childhood in Brazil. As a good Brazilian, I had a pair of green/pink/yellow in High School that I still remember and I thought I was the coolest. They were so unique and comfortable! The shop in New York will have the same gallery look as the its Brazilian flagship boutique in Sao Paulo. Expect to see installation by Brazilian artist Eli Sudbrack!
