Oldies but still goldies #by: Márcia Schwarz Perel
No, this is
not a blog about Betty White or Joan Rivers. This is about songs that might
spark your brain into going back in time, back to a place, remind you of a
scent. This is what music does to me. It makes me travel to the past, it brings
me back a feeling of nostalgia, and may it be good or bad. Some songs remind me
of some Brazilian soap operas ( did I ever mention I have a tape collection on
those soundtracks?), others remind me of the loud radio on summer days by the
swimming pool, at Centro Israelita do Paraná.
There may be
too many songs to remember, but lately I have been listening to a Brazilian
radio station on the internet (Transamerica Light), and the songs immediately
make me travel in time. I now invite you to travel with me, as I share my memories
with you. The list is long, so buckle up!
