TikTok bumps up video length to 10 minutes

TikTok is extending the maximum video length to 10 minutes. The platform is to let creators make longer-form videos as rivals like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. The app's expansion to allow users to upload 10-minute videos comes right after it raised the max length of videos to 3-minutes in 2021 (up from 60 seconds before).

TikTok has become broadly popular  - with more than 1 billion monthly active users - and need to keep up with the urge of more and more entertainment. “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” a TikTok rep said in a statement. “Today, we’re excited to start rolling out the ability to upload videos that are up to 10 minutes, which we hope would unleash even more creative possibilities for our creators around the world.”
