Checkmate #Louis Vuitton's Spring 2013

Vuitton, one of the biggest labels in the world; led by U.S. designer M. Jacobs, presented its Spring-Summer 2013 ready-to-wear collection in Paris most of the Louis Vuitton spring outfits featured graphic, contrasting checks formally called "Damier"—a Vuitton signature you might recognize from their classic suitcase.

The models appeared on one of four escalators whose stairs were decorated with white and yellow stripes and walked onto a floor decorated with the check pattern.

"This is the first ever Louis Vuitton collection not to make use of the Monogram. Instead, the Damier pattern provides the house's signature." Creative director Marc Jacobs said

#bows in their hair #bags in the damier check #feeling was slightly '60s #Collarless jackets, pencil skirts and duster coats in three lengths - short, knee and to the calf #it was all about coordinating looks
