New York's Statue of Liberty to reopen Oct. 28



Extra! Extra! Extra! after waiting for so long, Statue of Liberty's crown will reopen! # great news for all the tourists who wish to visit it. # Despite an ongoing renovation project of $ 27.25 millions in the interior of the monument, the national icon will be ready for October 28. # Visitors will ride in new elevators and have access to remodeled restrooms. Stairways are also being redone to make them safer in case of emergency. Even the water in drinking fountains will be cooler.
The big news is that wheelchair users can now go to the top of the pedestal via a wheelchair lift.
