Apple of My Eye celebrates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities!
During International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) commemorations, Nettles
Artists Collective will premiere the first-ever professional production of a play written by an
artist with Down syndrome in NYC
NAC is currently developing and producing Apple of My Eye, an original multimedia and physical theater
piece written and performed by Tathiana Piancastelli, a 29 year old Brazilian artist with Down syndrome.
With a cast of nine actors, Apple of My Eye explores the themes of romantic love, community and “normal-
ity” through the use of movement, text and video.
Who: Nettles Artists Collective in association with MetaSocial Institute
What: NYC Premiere of Apple of My Eye, a multimedia performance by Tathiana Piancastelli and a cast of nine actors.
When: December 12 - 15 (Press and Invited Guests Night Thursday, December 12)
