Net-A-Porter has launched a capsule collection of evening wear shoes designed by Rupert Sanderson for Antonio Berardi.
Sanderson speaks to Vogue about what to keep in mind for festive season dressing.
1. Don't underestimate the heel
"Accessories make the outfit," says Sanderson. "A good heel is instantly leg-lengthening and has the ability to transform the mood of your look."

"Don't go overboard," he advises. "Balance is key, and less is more. Keep the dress simple and let the shoes do the talking."
3. Quality over quantity, naturally
"If you invest in a well-made pair of shoes you are automatically buying into comfort. When designing, I focus on creating a balance between line, volume and material to flatter a woman's leg, making her feel both comfortable and sexy."
4. Don't underestimate regular maintenance
"Keep them in their boxes or shoe bags if travelling. Always give suede shoes a good spray before first wear and get them re-heeled by a trusty cobbler every six months."
