Martin Luther King’s 86th birthday
Martin Luther King is not longer around us but his spirit still is. He was 39 when he was assassinated on April 4, 1968, but his struggles continue and are often remembered by his 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech in which he called for an end to racism. Mr King fought for equality and is an example to be followed by us. U go MTK! #BlaNYCPRGirls salute you!
“I have a dream this afternoon that my four little children will not come up in the same young days that I came up within, but they will be judged on the basis of the content of their character, not the color of their skin.”
