PINK POWER: VALENTINO FALL 22/23 READY-TO-WEAR
Piccioli is collaborating with Pantone Color Institute to bring a new color trend to the fashion-game: “Pink PP”. The color created by Piccioli himself and worn by IT-GIRL “Euphoria” star Zendaya in the front row is definitely provocative. Why pink? “Pink is a color I really like, and it’s also a color that can have different sides,” Piccioli continued, noting how it can be sweet, sexy, powerful and rebellious.
Punch-you-in-the-face-pink caused a commotion at Sunday's show. The new collection captured all the moods of pink, while highlighting Pierpaolo Piccioli's couture-like techniques. “When looking at one color, you have to go deeper than the surface, to texture, cuts, silhouette, volume and detail. Because I’m not a stylist, I like to be a designer,” he said, throwing a bit of shade on some of his peers, perhaps. The entire building was decked out in the color, a bright, bold version created for Pierpaolo Piccioli’s Pink PP Collection.
